| The Mac-Cro-Knit Club is made up of people who enjoy knitting, crocheting, macramé and more. Many practical, whimsical, and stunningly beautiful things have been and are being created here. We meet at Kuentz Recreation Center, in Room #3, every Thursday from 8:00am to 11:30am. We are involved in several service projects throughout the year. We make friendship bags, booties, hats, and afghans for the New Life Shelter in Goodyear and for Eve's Place. 100% Wool helmet liners and scarves for our Armed Forces. Lap robes and hats for the Veterans Hospitals in Phoenix and Prescott. Afghans, hats, and slipper socks for the Crisis Nursery in Phoenix. Bring your yarn, macramé cord, or crochet thread and needles and we'll be happy to get you started on a new project. Or, bring something you're already working on. Our business meetings are held the first Thursday of the month from September through May at 9 a.m. in the clubroom, and are highlighted with a program when possible. Residents of Sun City West, with a current Recreation Card, are welcome. Dues are $5.00 per calendar year. Come make new friends with people of similar interests and learn a new hobby or new techniques.
