Meeting called to order at 9:16. Opened with the pledge to the flag.
It was moved, seconded & approved to accept the minutes of the last meeting as posted on the board.
Treasurer reported $2160.26 in savings. $1000 of this is for the rec. ctr. for sunshades addition. $2895.76 in checking. 181 members are paid up. Treasurer’s report accepted.
USLBA SCD president Bill Pierson spoke on USLBA. Encouraged everyone to join USLBA to help lawn bowling. Members are being lost worldwide.
Curt Birkeland had 12 people for lessons. 1 joined the club.
Norm Dean suggested having people at the greens a couple of times a week to give lessons to any one who might show up while games are on.
Dick Hoffman suggested shades over the benches.
Gordon Kloha had no safety or equipment issues to report.
Dave Reinertsen, Rich Ringhoffer & Ron Thorkelson gave reports on tournaments.
Theresa Burke was thanked for sending emails to members. Jim Clark suggested phone committee become more active as some people do not have email.
Thank you to social committee and Matt Lauer, Joe Leggio, Rex Coffman for cooking at spring fling & St. Patrick’s meals.

Benches on green 1 have been moved & evenly spaced. Most people report they are better. All 4 greens will be moved & spaced the same. More chairs will be purchased for use if the benches are not adequate.
Summer hours.—Monitors will review weather each Monday. Emails, webside & notice on door will be made of change of hours.
Gene Johnson has ordered shirts. Thanks to him. Rich Ringhoffer suggested that the club reimburse Gene for those ordered & not paid for. George Poor moved & Rich Ringhoffer seconded this motion. Motion carried.
New business:
Standing rule 4 regarding wearing of whites on Sunday. Those not in the draw would not be required to wear white for practice or casual bowling. Helen Burnside made motion & Alta Wood 2nd to make this change. After much discussion pro & con the vote was 26 in favor of the change and 12 not in favor. The change will be made.
Norm Dean questioned the flat sole shoe issue. Also the grass at the ends of the greens that stop the bowls from going in the ditch. George Poor suggested a committee to investigate the flat sole shoe issue.
