 Johnson Lawn Bowls Club Standing Rules

 Effective: April 7, 2008

  1. The Clubs financial obligation shall be limited to matters pertaining to lawn bowling activities and to the RCSCW Inc.
  2. The bulletin board shall be limited to matters pertaining to club activities and must be approved by the Johnson LBC President.
  3. All persons bowling on the greens must wear smooth soled, heel less shoes and acceptable clothing. All members must wear their JLBC name tags.
  4. Whites or official Club colored shirts must be worn on Sundays, Special Events, Visitations, Tournaments and League Play by all bowlers participating in the event of the day. Casual bowlers, not participating in the event of the day and bowling separately, are not required to wear whites or official Club colored shirts.
  5. The Social Committee may spend up to $75.00 per day on refreshments for both playing and non-playing members to enjoy attending specified club activities.
  6. Changes to the morning Draw scheduled start times may be adjusted from 7:00 am to 8:00 am to 9:00 am. The afternoon Draw scheduled start time of 1:00 pm. The evening Draw scheduled time may be adjusted from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
  7. The Tournament Chairperson will make Seasonal Draw time changes with the approval of the President and a majority vote of the Board.
  8. The Greens are available to members and their guests daily from 6 am to 10 pm.
  9. Tags for daily AM & PM Draws must be up 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of the Draw.
  10. Smoking is not allowed in the clubhouse. Smoking is permitted only around the outside circumference of the greens area and must be back 6 feet from the ditch. Trashcans are set up in the appropriate areas.
  11. NOVICE BOWLERS are categorized as a New Bowler who has completed Bowling Lessons and the Mentoring/New Member Program provided by the JLBC. They shall sustain their status for a period of 1 year from the date of their individual JLBC Membership. The status of a Novice Bowler shall qualify them to participate in all Tournaments of Johnson Lawn Bowls Club.
