Our Mission:

Welcome to Dance For The Health Of It of SCW!  We are dedicated to providing you the very best dance exercise program  in Sun City West.

 

 

What is Dance for the Health of It of SCW?

Dance for the Health of It of SCW is exercise through learning the basic steps of all dance styles including Rumba, Foxtrot, West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Cha-Cha, Waltz, and Charleston. We have classes for individuals and couples. We build routines one step at a time, all while dancing to great music. Three exercise levels are available. Join any level at any time. Take one, two or all three levels depending on the amount of dancing and exercise you want! We'll save you a spot on the floor!

Our Instructor:

Kort Kurdi developed Dance For The Health Of It, a program of exercise through learning dance steps and routines.  In all his classes, he provides a unique approach to teaching correct technique which enhances the exercise and dance experiences of his students.  Kort’s routines focus on balance and control of motion and movement. His choreography is designed to be easy and fun with no complicated footwork. Classes include routines that focus on a light-to-moderate cardio workout and routines that focus on increasing the strength and tone of the large muscle groups. 

 

Kort has provided dance instruction in many styles of dance for 15 years.  Since 1998, he has been teaching individuals and couples in adult communities in the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Nothing gives him greater pleasure than to give his students a sense of accomplishment about what they have achieved in class.
