APPOINTMENT OF VP / PRESIDENT DESIGNATE TO CANADIAN CLUB
I am pleased to announce that Wallace Crowston has accepted the position of Vice President and will be joining our Executive team for the remainder of the 2011/2012 season. He will then in April 2012 become President of the club for our next programme year.
Please join me in welcoming Wallace and his wife Taka who have a strong desire to see our club go on for many years and provide the activities and opportunities we have all enjoyed to meet and learn from other Canadians in Arizona.
We should emphasise that there is a need for other members to come forward and volunteer to fill positions on our new Executive from this April for our 2012/2013 season. We will have a need for persons as Vice President/ Social Programme Coordinator, Reservations and Membership Director, Club Administrator and other openings. Please call me or any other members of the Executive if you wish to offer your services.
PAYMENT OF ANNUAL CLUB DUES
We wish to remind you that you should remit to Judith Fimrite your annual club dues for this season if you have not already done so. We keep these dues at a very reasonable cost but these monies are required in a timely way to run our club and various events. Presently more than one third of our membership have unpaid dues.
You should note that only paid-up members will have priority for tickets such as those for the upcoming Presentation on Cross border and Financial Issues in February. The price of event tickets is higher for non-members/guests and the club membership roster is now being prepared and will be distributed to and list information for paid-up members.
